Symposium: 2 - 4/12/09 in Berlin
Our symposium in Berlin started with a lecture by Andreas Germershausen, Vice Representative of the Berlin Senate for Integration and Migration. He spoke about the situation of new entrepreneurs and migrants in Berlin. After a discussion, we visited the exhibition « Doner, Delivery and Design » organised by the Museum of European Cultures (MEK) and the Neighbourhoodmuseum Berlin. In the afternoon, several partners presented their actual local projects. Then, we heard about the experiences of young professionals that have participated in an international exchange within the framework of our project. In the evening, we had a visit in the “Surya Villa”, an Ayurvedic Centre owned by Irene Scheda and Wijerathna Storz-Vindanage, an entrepreneur original from Sri Lanka. He presented his biography in the “Suriya Kanthi”, one of his two Sri-Lankesian restaurants in Berlin. A common dinner in a Russian restaurant (Pasternak) completed the day.
On the second day, we discussed some administrative project matters. In the afternoon, we visited several new entrepreneurs in the districts Prenzlauer Berg and Kreuzberg:

In the evening we had our final common dinner in a Morrocan restaurant (Baraka). The third day let some more time to discuss organisational and administrative questions.
